Pavan: During my GCD course, I have learned from 5 instructors and a few guest instructors. All of them had a good hold over their subject and taught well. It would unfair to pick any one particular instructor.

Still, I would like to mention Suchit Majumdar, Deepesh Wadhwani, and, Amit who have been fabulous with their teaching and interaction.

Question 5: What is the goal of Data Science?

Pavan: The goal of Data Science is to derive meaningful insights from a seemingly boring dataset. Some of the datasets are maybe huge in terms of records, samples, size. Some of them be gibberish to a plain set of eyes. We need to extract meaningful insights from it, provide those insights to target companies, to implement useful solutions to the everyday problems that we face.

Question 6: Which Data Science blogs do you follow?

Pavan: I follow KD Nuggets, Analytics Vidhya and Accredian website have a big repository of Data.

Question 7: What advice would you give to a beginner in Data Science?

Pavan: I would like to say that a beginner must have a thorough understanding of the basic concepts, gather a lot of information, and refer to the content provided by Accredian. Since it may be a different domain from what you have been doing so far, it requires extra effort.
