We are excited to announce our newest Top 3 Budding Data Science Leaders for 2023!
The Top 3 Data Science Leaders Award is our most prestigious academic award where we recognize INSAIDians who have demonstrated the highest potential to emerge as successful Data & AI leaders of India in the coming years.
About our Selection Process
A total of 2500 students from INSAID, spread across 15 different batches, took part in this award. During a two-month-long selection process, these participants underwent four major rounds, which included Technical Data Leader assessment, INSAID Spotlight Interviews, assessment of their Github profiles and headshots.
The selection process culminated in a final interview with Hemanka Sarmah, who serves as both INSAID’s Product Manager (Data Science) and Senior faculty.
We would like to appreciate all INSAID students who participated and we hope that the participation process itself has been immensely valuable to you.
Although there were many talented professionals who participated for this award, we are happy to announce the ones who made it to the Top 3 Budding Data Science Leaders Awards for Year 2023!
Congratulating all the winners. Here is everything you need to know about these 3!
1. Susmita Chakravorty
Sushmita Chakravorty, an Astrophysicist who is keen on transitioning to the field of data science. Sushmita’s background in astrophysics has given her a solid foundation in scientific research, data analysis, and mathematical modeling. With her passion for learning and problem-solving skills, Sushmita is ready to embark on a new journey in the field of data science.
According to Hemanka Sarmah:
Susmita has a clear understanding of Data Science and Machine Learning concepts. Susmita’s past experience, coupled with his fast-growing skills in Data Science and strong background definitely makes her an excellent individual in this field. The way she answered all his questions in the interview is inspiring.

2. Japjeet Kaur
Japjeet, our second winner has been a PGP Data Science and Artificial Intelligence student at INSAID. Japjeet overcame her initial challenges and pursued her passion for data science with the help of INSAID‘s rigorous curriculum and experienced faculty. We congratulate you Japjeet for your achievements.

Japjeet is very enthusiastic about Data Science and has achieved great feats in multiple facets in her career. She is very knowledgeable about everything around Data Science and is always sharing about new advancements. Her transition to a Data Analyst role is commendable and has achieved rapid growth at a young age.
3. Smitha Abraham
Smitha Abraham is our third winner. She is a Data Science enthusiast making her way into the field of Data Science. Her insatiable passion for knowledge and upskilling led her to enroll in the PGP in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence program at INSAID. Congratulations Smitha!
