Malvika: Hi Prasad, before we begin, could you tell us more about your current work profile?
Prasad: I’m working as a Software Engineer at DBXENTO Systems.
Before this role, I was a Junior Developer at Crescente Services. I worked there for 2 years and after that, I shifted to my current company. It’s been 2 years here as well.
Malvika: What all tools and packages in Data Science & Machine Learning have you mastered in your Data Science & AI program at Accredian so far?
Prasad: I am working in Jupyter notebooks.
Apart from that, I am learning the libraries that Python like Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib,
and SK Learn.
Malvika: Have you undertaken any projects in Data Science?
Prasad: One of my projects was for Machine Learning foundation where I took up house pricing data and used Regression and also Random Forest and Decision Tree.
Malvika: Who is your favorite faculty at Accredian and what did you learn from him the most?
Prasad: Deepesh and Suchit are my favorite faculty because they are delivering 100% and also they are giving us good guidance on what we have to do and what they have done.
Deepesh, with his unique teaching style, gives us a road map and explains everything on paper. So we can imagine and visualize what he is teaching.
Malvika: Crafting a great Data Science profile is a critical part of getting shortlisted for Data Science roles. Tell us some ways in which you have improved your GitHub as part of Data Science Career Launchpad.
Prasad: Presenting ourselves on GitHub is most important because whenever we want to show whatever we have done, that proof is there.
The GitHub session was very useful and Suchit delivered a fantastic session about it.
Malvika: What is your advice to anyone wanting to start a career in Data Science?
Prasad: You must be passionate about Data Science and also you should be eager to learn things.
You need to develop a child-like curiosity and be ready to make some mistakes and rectifying them in due time.
