A Facebook DS interview includes three types of screening rounds – telephonic interview, product analysis, and technical and data. Let’s go through them one by one. 

  1. Telephonic interview: Post-screening your Data Science resume, a recruiter from Facebook will connect with you for a telephone interview. It is a general get-to-know call, where the recruiter wants to know about you and why you wish to work with Facebook.
  2. Product analysis round: In this round, you will be asked product-focused questions to test your knowledge and application of Data Science skills. The recruiter in this round will attempt to understand your approach to solving situational problems. Therefore, while answering such questions keep focusing on your approach rather than getting the correct answer.
  3. Technical and data processing round: For a Data Scientist role,  you are bound to be asked technical questions in the interview. You can expect questions on product analysis, problem-solving, statistics, probability, analytics, estimation, and metrics.
    Further, you can also expect questions on programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and PANDAS and data science concepts such as data analysis, visualization, machine learning. deep learning and more.
