Later, I moved to Mechanical Drives – Industrial Gearboxes within Siemens Ltd. I was in Bangalore for 3 years and roamed in South India to resolve customer complaints and for overhauling the gearboxes. I got the opportunity to move to Nigeria and finally returned to India after gaining experience in scaling business activities.
Since college, I was very much interested in Programming. I kept on feeding my hunger for learning by undergoing online courses on various scientific topics. However, I was searching for proper guidance and then came across the well-designed course at Accredian.
Question 3: What tools and packages in Data Science & Machine Learning have you mastered at Accredian so far?
Jayesh: I was familiar with C++ & Java, but after joining this course I learned Python and its packages such as NumPy, Pandas, Seaborn to carry out Data processing & Data Analysis using EDA.
I have learned concepts of Machine Learning Algorithms like Linear regression, Logistic regression, Decision Tree, Random Forest, and their application as well.
Question 4: What challenges did you face when you started your Data Science journey and how did you overcome it?
Jayesh: Time management is one challenge that I faced in my learning journey at Accredian but I started dedicating time for studies and followed all the pending lectures and assignments. Question 6: What is the goal of Data Science?
Jayesh: The goal of Data Science is to get meaningful insights from any kind of data such as huge data, unstructured data; by performing Data pre-processing, Data cleansing, Post-processing and EDA. Also, we have readily available tools to present the data in a way that is easy to understand.
Question 7: How has Data Science evolved in the last few years?
Jayesh: Study and application of Statistics was there before the invention of computers, but in the last few years technology has progressed so fast and we have higher processing speeds, higher storage capacity, huge amounts of available data; which is contributing significantly to the evolution of Data Science which is being applied in all the domains – Healthcare, Finance, Industry, Teaching field, Retail, Telecom,
Question 8: What current trends in Data Science are you most excited about?
Jayesh: Auto EDA is the latest trend in Data Science, which is the most exciting for me.
