A complete tech buff, Vishweshwar Satpute is a senior process executive at Cognizant. His love for artificial intelligence and its applications moved him to take up the Global Certificate in Data Science (GCD) program at Accredian.
In this interview, let’s see what he thinks about the evolution of data science and how his learning experience has been at Accredian.
Question 1: Which program & batch are you part of at Accredian & tell us more about your current work profile?
Vishweshwar: I am part of the Global Certificate in Data Science (GCD) program, November 2019 batch. I work as a Senior Process Executive at Cognizant in the GIS mapping domain. Currently, I am working on a brand scrapping project which requires basic HTML knowledge.
Question 2: Walk us through your career journey & what got you interested in Data Science & Machine Learning?
Vishweshwar: I started my career as a Process Associate in the year 2016 with Accenture. After that, I moved to Cognizant as a Senior Process Executive with three-plus years of experience in the GIS mapping domain.
I am a complete tech buff and always keep myself updated with bleeding edge technologies of automotive and electronic gadgets. My interest and passion for artificial intelligence is the inspiration behind me starting my journey in the world of data science.
Question 3: What tools and packages in Data Science & Machine Learning have you mastered in your Data Science & AI program at Accredian so far?
Vishweshwar: I am quite fluent in exploratory data analysis, linear regression, logistic regression and PCA. But, I have more to learn so the journey continues.
Question 4: Who is your favorite faculty at Accredian, and what did you learn from him the Most?
Vishweshwar: All the faculties at Accredian are excellent. But my favorite is Deepesh who taught us ML. I like his unique teaching methods that not only include PowerPoint slides demonstration, but putting it on paper and making a quick comparison to real-world examples.
Question 5: In your view, how has Data Science evolved in the last few years?
Vishweshwar: As per my view, the world is changing from mechanical to electrical. Data science and artificial intelligence has played a significant role in shaping this transition by opening up new possibilities and perspectives.
Question 6: What are the current trends in Data Science that you are most excited about?
Vishweshwar: The current trend in data science I’m excited about is autonomous cars, which was once a dream but now is a reality. I am also curious about Artificial Intelligence applications in the healthcare industry like artificial human organs, etc.
Question 7: Which are some of the blogs that you follow?
Vishweshwar: I follow GSM Arena, Medium and MKBHD podcast.
