Malvika: Hi Amber, before we begin, could you tell us more about your current work profile?
Amber: Currently I am working in Accenture as an Application Development Senior Analyst and I have been in this role for 3 years. I’m well versed in Python programming.
Malvika: What got you interested in Data Science & Machine Learning?
Amber: I like playing with numbers and have a flair for mathematics.
I attended various seminars on Machine Learning and it looked really interesting.
Malvika: What are some of the initial challenges you faced when you got started on your Data Science journey and how did you overcome it?
Amber: Technically, as such, I did not find anything challenging.
I did sharpen my Python skills by undertaking many projects.
Malvika: What is the goal of Data Science?
Amber: The goal of Data Science is to convert business problems into Data Science problems so that you can find related patterns in the markets and accordingly make informed business decisions.
Malvika: What are the current trends in Data Science that you are most excited about?
Amber: Recommendation systems mainly used by e-commerce giants like Amazon and Flipkart really excite me.
Answering how things work is especially intriguing and this level of customer service interested me.
