In this Accredian Spotlight interview, we feature Sujeet Toppo, a Business Manager at Afreen Wedding Services LLP. His insatiable passion for knowledge and upskilling led him to enroll in the Global Certification in Data Science program at Accredian.
Question 1: Which program & batch are you a part of at Accredian & tell us more about your current work profile?
Sujeet: I’m a part of the Global certificate in Data Science program, July 2021 batch. In my last role, I was working as a Client service senior manager offering wedding services. My job profile included conducting meetings, presentations and managing accounts for all the events.
Question 2: What got you interested in Data Science & Machine Learning?
Sujeet: I started reading lots of articles related to Data Science & Machine Learning which motivated me to make a transition into the field.
Question 3: What tools and packages in Data Science & Machine Learning have you mastered at Accredian so far?
Sujeet: I’m very comfortable in using Python, NumPy, pandas. Matplotlib. Working with these packages every day helps one improve a lot.
Question 4: What challenges did you face when you started your Data Science journey and how did you overcome it?
Sujeet: Being from a non-technical background, it was hard for me to grasp the codes used in Python programming. But the starter kits of Python & Statistics provided at Accredian have helped me a lot. Regular practice has really made it easier for me.
Question 5: Who is your favorite faculty at Accredian and what did you learn from them?
Sujeet: My favorite faculty is Deepesh Wadhwani.
I really love his approach and the effort that he makes to make us understand the logic behind every solution to the problem.
Question 6: What is the goal of Data Science?
Sujeet: The overall goal is to make use of the available Data to derive Insights and trends and further make informed business decisions based on those insights.
Question 7: Which Data Science blogs do you follow?
Sujeet: I follow Towards Data Science and often read the latest trends on Kaggle News.
