In this Accredian Spotlight interview, we feature Thomaskutty Emmanuel, a leading Banking Professional. His insatiable passion for knowledge and upskilling led him to enroll in the Post Graduate Program in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence Accredian.
Question 1: Which program & batch are you part of at Accredian & tell us more about your current work profile?
Emmanuel: I’m a part of the Global Certificate in Data Science program, June 2021 cohort. I’ve been working at Tata Consultancy Services for the last two and a half years.
Question 2: Walk us through your career journey & what got you interested in Data Science & Machine Learning?
Emmanuel: I completed my graduation in BSC Computer Science and after two years of working, I decided to explore opportunities in the field of Data Science and Machine Learning. Hence, I decided to take up a course at Accredian.
Question 3: What tools and packages in Data Science & Machine Learning have you mastered at Accredian so far?
Emmanuel: I’ve learned Python and its libraries, like NumPy, Pandas, Seaborn, etc.
Question 4: What challenges did you face when you started your Data Science journey and how did you overcome it?
Emmanuel: I didn’t face much difficulty as I have a background in Programming and Statistics. I continued the practice after Accredian live classes.
Question 5: Who is your favorite faculty at Accredian and what did you learn from them?
Emmanuel: I like Deepesh Wadhwani as his way of explaining concepts with varied live examples is brilliant.
Question 6: What is the goal of Data Science?
Emmanuel: The main goal of Data science is to find solutions to the problem, by analyzing meaningful Insights from the raw data.
Question 7: How has Data Science evolved in the last few years and any trend that excites you the most?
Emmanuel: I love the fact that Data is the new oil. New meaningful insights can be really helpful for offering the best solutions to current business problems.
