In this Accredian Spotlight interview, we feature Ganapathi Varadharaju, a Warehouse Manager at Kothari Distributors Pvt. Ltd. His insatiable quest for knowledge and upskilling led him to enroll in the Post Graduate Data Science & Artificial Intelligence program at Accredian.
Question 1: Which program & batch are you a part of at Accredian & tell us more about your current work profile?
Ganapathi: I am a part of the PGP DS & AI, July 2021 batch. Currently, I am working for Kothari Distributors. Supply Chain Manager, and look after all the end-to-end operations.
Question 2: Walk us through your career journey & what got you interested in Data Science & Machine Learning?
Ganapathi: I’ve been looking for a career transition in the field of Data Science due to great growth opportunities. Discovering opportunities to build products based on numbers and advanced Statistical models.
Data Science makes me feel powerful and I’ve found one of the best Data Science courses at Accredian.
Question 3: What tools and packages in Data Science & Machine Learning have you mastered at Accredian so far?
Ganapathi: I’m currently working with Python libraries for Data Science tasks covering areas such as Data Processing, Modelling and Visualizations, and NumPy, Pandas, Seaborn, Matplotlib, etc.
Question 4: What challenges did you face when you started your Data Science journey and how did you overcome it?
Ganapathi: Initially, I was nervous when I started with the course but gradually I’ve felt really comfortable at Accredian and the right kind of mentoring has helped me through it.
Question 5: Who is your favorite faculty at Accredian and what did you learn from them?
I’m thankful to Deepesh as he’s made the basic concepts really strong and now, I’m very confident about the Data Science concepts and applications. And I can surely say that Accredian offers one of the best Data Science courses.
Question 6: What is the goal of Data Science?
Ganapathi: The goal of Data Science is to analyze various problems in society and come up with automated solutions to help business, communities, and the environment flourish.
Question 7: What current trends in Data Science are you most excited about?
Ganapathi: The current trends in Data Science that I am most excited about are Driverless cars, NLP Chatbots, etc.

Ganapathi: I follow Analytics Vidhya and Towards Data Science.
